Rensselaer- Thomas A. Williams age 88 years of Rensselaer passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at Evergreen Commons Nursing Home. Thomas was born in Troy, raised in West Sand Lake and has lived in Rensselaer for the past 18 years. He was a dedicated member of 67 years of the West Sand Lake Fire Company. He was employed by Albany International as a trucker driver for 42 years and for 20 years he worked for the Averill Park School District as a janitor. Husband of the late Florence B. Williams. Father of Joseph P. (Phyllis) Williams, Sr., Maureen Haslow, Virginia (Daniel) Swahlan, Jr. and Mary Williams. Grandfather of Joseph P. (Diane) Williams, III, Eric Williams, Rachel William, Daniel Swahlan, III and Thomas B. Kelly. Brother of Emma Wicks. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held Saturday at 10:30 am at St. Henry’s Cemetery, Averill Park. All are welcome to attend.
