Rosemarie "Rosie" Nardacci (Long)
Rensselaer- Rosemarie Long Nardacci passed away on May 19, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Born on December 24, 1936 in Albany she was the daughter of the late James and Roseann (McCormack) Long. Rosie was predeceased by her husband Theodore Nardacci, Sr.
She was a telephone operator for AT&T and after her retirement she went to work at Red Mill School in East Greenbush as everyone’s favorite “Grandma” in the cafeteria. Rosie adored all the children there and loved bringing them goodies. She enjoyed participating in 5K races and was known as the “Captain of Rosie’s Team.” She had a kind heart and will be missed by many.
She is survived by her children Theodore Nardacci, Jr., Fred (Elaine) Nardacci, Anthony (Diane) Nardacci, Joanne (John) Nolette, Roseann (Robert) Brown and Jill (James) Frankoski. The family would like to thank the staff of Van Rensselaer Manor, B1 Unit for their professionalism and compassion shown to our mother and our family.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at 10am in the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Ave., Rensselaer. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4 to 8pm. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, East Greenbush.
