Angie was born on December 30, 1928 and was a lifelong resident of the city of Rensselaer. She was a graduate of St. John’s Academy, class of 1946. Angie had a long a distinguished career with the State of New York in several departments retiring after 41 years of service from the Comptroller’s Office.
Angie never married and upon her retirement devotedly cared for her mother until her passing at age 99. After her mother’s death Angie was able to enjoy and do many things that were of interest to her, these things included, shopping, dining out and visiting with family and friends. One of her most memorable times was her trip to Disney World when at the age of 77 she rode her first and only roller coaster.
Angie was a devout Catholic and has gone home to the Lord, Jesus Christ. Her strong faith sustained her as her health declined in recent years. She was blessed to maintain many relationships she cherished from her school years at St. John’s with her childhood friends for which she will be eternally grateful.
Angie loved a good meal, especially spaghetti, enjoyed a good cup of coffee and never passed up any Italian pastries. She was especially fond of pepper cookies and rum cake. Angie had a wonderful sense of humor, loved to laugh and will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
A special thanks goes out to Owen Glenn, a lifelong friend of her brother Louis who continued to visit Angie through her life’s journey and whose friendship was dear to her heart.
