Rosemary E. "Ma Ma Rose" Williams (Ryan)
Rensselaer- Rosemary Ryan “Ma Ma Rose” Williams of Rensselaer passed away on Friday Sept. 4, 2015 at Albany Medical Center. She was born in Albany to the late Warren C. “Scoop” and Rosemary O’Connor Ryan. Rosemary lived her life in Rensselaer and retired from OTB. She was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist and St. Joseph Church in Rensselaer attending St. John’s Church for many years. Wife of the late George Williams. Mother of Bernadette “Irish” (James) Hurley; George Williams and his son Christopher; Warren and Alison Willliams and their children Clair and Ryan and Dennis Williams. Sister of Bernadette Ryan; Edward T. Ryan and the late Joan Legan, Cornelius “Connie” (Dorothy) Ryan and Joseph (wife Mary survives) Ryan. Close friend of Joan Knox. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the W. J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home 1700 Washington Avenue Friday morning Sept. 25, 2015 at 9:00 and 10:00 at St. John the Evangelist and St. Joseph Church Herrick Street Rensselaer where the Liturgy of Christian Death and Burial will be offered. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Thursday Sept. 24, 2015 from 4-7 PM. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery East Greenbush.
