Phyllis W.  Church (Welsh)

LOUDONVILLE — Phyllis W. Church, age 75 years, of Loudonville, passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2017, at Albany Memorial Hospital.

Born in Plattsburgh, N.Y., on October 5, 1942. Phyllis was a graduate of Mildred Elley Business School and was an administrative assistant at Siena College for the past 36 years. Phyllis was a member of the Albany County Historical Association and the Historic Albany Foundation.

Wife of John "Jack" Church, whom she married in Albany on April 20, 1963; daughter of the late Leonard O. Welsh and Esther H. Welsh; mother of John (Ashlee), Carol (Gerald Paris Jr.), Patricia (Kenneth Harrison) James (Muriel) and Craig; grandmother of Tresa (Mike), Joshua (Anna) Amanda, Alexis, Courtney, Kayleigh, Danielle, Sophie, Lucas, and Zoe; great-grandmother of Weston and another grandbaby due in May. Also survived by brother-in-law, Paul (Mary Jean) Church and several nieces and nephews.

The Church family would like to thank the doctor and nurses in the critical care dept. and the 4th floor at Albany Memorial Hospital for the care, compassion and sense of humor they showed to our wife/mother and family during her stay. We will never be able to express the appreciation and love we feel for all of you during this sad time.

The funeral Mass will be offered at St. Pius X Church, 23 Crumitie Rd., Loudonville, on Wednesday, November 22, 2017, at 10 a.m. All are welcome to attend. Interment will be in Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, East Greenbush.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Phyllis' memory to Siena College's Sarazen Student Union Restoration Fund, 515 Loudon Rd., Loudonville, NY 12211, or the Community Hospice, 295 Valley View Blvd, Rensselaer, NY 12144.
